Yang Zhong Yue (杨忠跃) is a native from Puer city. Originally a high school history teacher, he started studying Pu-erh tea in 1995. He focused his researches on tea aging, tea garden management and exploring the lesser known tea mountains.

In 2011, he published his second book: "Xin Pu Er Cha Dian" (new pu-erh tea code), in which he brought new insights to the wolrd of pu-erh tea, such as storing tea with restricted air flow.
