Autumn 2017 was marked by almost daily light rains and overcast weather. We had to make tea in small quantity and spread it thinly on the bamboo mats to get it dry within two days. Combined with low yields, it means a very small production of only 60kg of gushu tea this season, over half of which have been pressed under our brand.
The astringency is higher than last year's version fragrance is very typical of autumn and complex. The tea soup flows very easily down the throat, it feels clean overall, lighter than Spring tea but still providing enough Huigan and umami taste to give this tea some personality.
