Here is one of our first 'gushu' production of 2019. It comes from Ai Ban tea garden, located in the ancient tea forest of Da Ping Zhang on Jingmai Mountain. We sourced the fresh leaves from our uncle and processed them in our tea factory.
The ancient tea gardens sprouted late and scarcely in Spring 2019. The quality is better than average compared to other years. You'll enjoy this fresh tea for its good mouthfeel and Huigan. The fragrance will develop as the tea ages.

delightful young gushu
The mail carrier just delivered my order and I am on my fourth steep. The tea gets more and more interesting. It has a nice heavy mouth feel and a pleasant bitterness which turns very quickly into a wonderful sweetness. It is such a luxury to procure tea that is harvested at properties that seem to be part of the family. I am as usual very happy being a customer of this very knowledgeable producer.

Delightful
For me this tea is a true delight. A quick taste of the rinse yielded a rock-candy-like enticing sweetness. Subsequent infusions all had a slightly bitter, dry beginning that quickly vanished into semi-sweet juiciness with dark chocolate cacao notes. This tea was harvested on 3/22/19 and here I am on 4/19/19 on the opposite side of the world working on my tenth infusion. I feel like I'm as close as I can get to Jingmai without actually being there.
