This tea was grown with much care at high altitude (1600m) in the natural tea gardens located West of the Da Ping Zhang plateau on Jingmai Mountain.
The tea gardens are 30 years old and have been grown without pesticide and chemical fertilizers for 8 years. This harvest is very rich in tea buds, you could consider it a 1 bud/2 leaves. This year, the flushes are short and stop growing early in their development, which means the farmers have to harvest fine grades.
Due to the high amount of buds, the tea has a good sweetness and plenty of fragrance. You can also feel the punch of caffeine, more highly concentrated in the tender buds than in the older leaves. A very fresh tea that will keep changing in the coming months.

Fragrant and tasty
Heavenly fruity/floral fragrance from the dry maocha. Taste is well-balanced between sweetness and astringency, with nice fruity flavour and 回甘huigan that builds up in the throat over successive infusions. Light to medium mouthfeel. Enjoyable tea to drink now, and will be interesting to see how it ages. Very nice tea at a very reasonable price.

Excellent Craftsmanship
Received my tea today in a timely manner. Dry leaves have good color and clean construction. Good mouthfeel. The broth good color clean and clear. Typical stone fruit taste. Typical astringency. No problem. Excellent price point. Very well done. I will, without question be ordering more.
