Ripe Pu-erh, or Shu Pu-erh, is a fermented tea. Take a big pile of raw pu-erh, spray water to humidiy the leaves, cover the pile, wait for a few weeks, and here you are!
This type of tea is very comforting in winter, when it's cold outside. It warms the body and has a syrupy mouthfeel that can remind juicy craft beer. The fragrance is earthy and woody. It's hard to find good ones, but always a nice treat when you get one in your cup. This is why our selection is very limited for this family of tea.
