Here is the first tea of Spring 2021, it is grown on Yingpan Mountain, 20km away from Pu'er City. The tea gardens are being converted to organic plantations, pesticides haven't been used for five years. This is about the earliest tea you can get around here, the production started in late February.
A staple from Yunnan, this tea is well processed and has everything you'd expect: chocolatey fragrance, soft texture and decent sweetness. If you brew it gongfu style, you can expect five strong brews from this tea, you can also enjoy it in a mug or a large teapot.

Took several weeks to arrive but worth the wait. Keemun-like cocoa notes.

This is an excellent tea with a wonderful bouquet. When dry, the tea gives off a very strong orange zest and sweet ripe stone fruit aroma. The early steepings reveal a robust roasted cocoa and lethery aroma, coupled with a faint tobaco and camp fire tinge. By the final two steepings I was getting a very sweet baked goods smell, like a chcolate eclair. The mouthfeel is pleasently thick and oily, and the finish is long. There is a hint of sourness and just a hair of unpleasent bitterness. These negative tasting notes are minute and take very little away from this superb tea.

I got it best described to me as follows:
first you notice the typical Black tea taste hints.
As we get tastes of green tea, it finishes with floral taste.
I will later inspect 4-6 infusion to see how it holds.

And once again, third year in a row, I get this tea as soon as it appears on the website. And third time in a row I'm not disappointed. For this price it's hard to get a better black tea for everyday drinking. It's simple, but often I find that I want a simple experience - with breakfast, or when I'm in a hurry.
